Norway x Reader - Pink Rabbit Plushies

Scurrying around, I frantically check to make sure everything is in their proper order and things are set up. Today is my boyfriend of 3 years birthday.

Lukas Bondevik is turning 18, or in country years (Insert Norwegian country age), and I have to make sure everything is absolutely perfect.

I’m throwing him a Norwegian fairy tale themed birthday. Complete with trolls, fairies, and hobgoblins. I’m also inviting the other countries such as Arthur, Vlad, Kiku, Ludwing, Natalia, Gilbert, Alfred, etc.

I made him a homemade red velvet cake, with cream cheese icing. His personal favorite.

He’s sure to love it.

The party is starting in 30 minutes, and everything is set up, 8 guests are already here, and I’ve got my secret surprise all set up upstairs.

All we’re waiting on Lukas’s and the others’ showing.

This whole party is a surprise for my adorable Norwegian lover. He has no idea this is happening.

Just this morning, I called him up, wishing him happy birthday, then inviting him over to my house to hang out for a little bit. He agreed and said he would come over whenever I was ready, in which I told him at noon.

The doorbell rings, and opening the door, I am rewarded with the faces of the rest of the countries.

They are all carrying gifts in their arms. Allowing them inside, they greet me, and then place the gifts on the little table in the side room.

Checking the watch, I see it to be 11:55. That means I should have 5 min-

‘Ding dong’

The familiar sound of the doorbells sounds, and when I peek through the peephole, it’s Lukas. My eyes widen, and I motion with my hand for everyone to hide.

Everyone ducks down behind something, and I open the door with a smile.

Throwing my arms around his torso, I bring him in for a warm bear hug.

“Happy Birthday Lukas~!!”

Wrapping his arms around me, he flashes me one of his rare smiles.

“Thank you.”

Pulling away, I grasp his hand, and proceed to pull him into the house.

No sooner had we entered, did the others pop up from their spots, and yell out their happy birthday greetings.

Lukas jumped some, and looked around with wide eyes.

I giggle at his reaction, and squeeze his hand reassuringly.

“Soooo, you’re probably wondering what in the world is happening right now. Well, you see it’s obviously your birthday, so me and the others decided to create a totally fantabulous for ‘ya!”

Alfred runs over and throws an arm around Lukas’s shoulder, and gives him a toothy grin.

“Hope you like it dude. It’s going to be awesome. Wait until you see (Y/n)’s specially surprise for you at the end.”

Glaring at the idiotic American, I elbow him in the gut resulting his laughing to end with a loud “Oomph!”

Arthur stalks over to Alfred’s side, hits him on the head.

“You bloody wanker! It’s called a surprise for a reason!”

He then grabs him by the collar of the shirt, and drags him back within the crowd.

Laughing nervously, I turn back to the confused, blinking Norwegian next to me.

“Cake anyone?”

The party was a complete plus. Everything went perfect and according to plan, and Lukas enjoyed every moment of it.

Everyone had left only a few minutes ago, leaving the two of us alone.

Right now, we are both sitting on the couch, me leaning my head on his shoulder, and just relaxing.

Just then, at that moment, my fantabulous idea that Alfred ruined by yelling out, came to mind.

Sitting up, I get to my feet which causes Lukas to look up at me in confusion.

Leaning down, I whisper in his ear.

“Close your eyes, and don’t open them until I tell you to.”

He slowly nods, and I peck his cheek, and then hurry up the stairs to put my genius plan to action.

Lukas has a secret obsession over rabbits, more importantly, pink ones. It’s a secret that not even his own brother knows. So, for his birthday, I bought at least 14 dozen pink rabbit plushes, and I stuffed them all in an extra room.

Then I got a bunch of miniature ones which I’m going to place in a little trail from where Lukas is sitting to the room.

He is to follow them to the door, and when he opens it, he’s going to be enveloped in a swarm of pink cuteness.

That’s when I’m going to make my entrance.

At a cosplay shop, I bought a furry pink rabbit costume.

It’s a two piece, and comes with matching furry paw gloves, and boots.

The top is a tank top that reaches down to my bellybutton, and the bottom are puffy shorts. The boots look like those fuzzy UGS you see people wearing nowadays, and the gloves are those ones your normally find with those anime cat costumes. Then there is a clip on tail for the back of the costume, and a rabbit eared headband.

Quickly changing into the outfit, I place my plan into action.

Heading into the closet in my room, I pull out the bag of bunnies, and begin placing them on the floor leading from the door, down the stairs, and finally to the couch where Lukas still sat with his eyes closed.

Placing the last one down, I hurry back up the stairs and call for him.

I duck into my bedroom, and hide behind my door, peeking through the crack to watch my boyfriend complete his task.

His footsteps sound from the stairs, and when I glance out the crack, I see him to be ascending up the staircase, pink plushies gathered up in his arms.

Leaning down, he picks up two more, and now he’s right outside my door.

He calls out my name, but I remain silent, otherwise it would give away my position.

`Leaning down he picks up another one, and keeps moving along the trail. Once he reaches the end, he hesitantly stands up, and raises his hand to the knob.

Turning it, he is suddenly enveloped in an avalanche of pink rabbits, which knock him off his feet.

His eyes widen, and his mouth opens in surprise.

Giggling, I step out of my hiding spot, and sashay over to his side.

Upon hearing footsteps near him, he looks up from his spot on the floor, and when he sees it’s me, and notices what I am wearing, his face tints light red.

Glancing away with a flustered expression, he tries to stand up.

“(Y-Y/n), w-w-what’s going on?”

Chuckling, I hold out a big fuzzy hand, and help him up.

“This is your surprise birthday present. I know about your love for rabbits, especially pink ones, so I bought you a bunch, and dressed up as one for you to cuddle with. Happy Birthday!”

He blinks in surprise; a light pink tint covers his cheekbones as he stares down at me.

Upon not hearing a response from him, I began to fidget self-consciously. Maybe this whole thing was a mistake, maybe I should have left it to just giving him a plush…

When I was lost in my thinking, I didn’t notice a certain blonde Norwegian man advancing towards me.

Suddenly I am enveloped in a warm hug, and a head rests on my own.

Lukas closes his eyes in content, and a ghost of a smile crosses his features. Whispering, he says,

“Thank you (Y/n). I love it.”

Cupping my cheek with his hand, he brings my face to meet his in a tender and loving kiss. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I kiss him back.

Breaking away, I snuggle into his chest, in the process my ears falling off.

“I’m glad.”
